Symptoms
Tapping the share icon on the calendar brings up a message instead of an artifact; or a month you wrote in doesn't appear under Activity → Monthly.
Possible causes
- It's the current month. Artifacts summarize finished months — the current month has no artifact until it settles. This is by design, not a delay.
- The month just ended. Artifacts generate automatically on the 2nd of the following month. On the 1st, it isn't there yet.
- You wrote no pages that month (by Date Written) — empty months don't generate artifacts.
- Pages were backfilled after generation. If you uploaded a month's pages after its artifact was already generated, the artifact won't include them.
How to fix
- Current month: wait for it to settle — the "Month has settled" banner appears on your dashboard when the artifact is ready.
- Just-ended month: check again after the 2nd.
- Empty-looking month you did write in: check those notes' Date Written — if they're dated into a neighboring month, that's where they were counted.
- In the meantime, the interactive calendar view of any month is always available.
When to contact support
If a finished month with pages still has no artifact several days after the 2nd, or an artifact's numbers look wrong for what you wrote, email support@sanddune.ai with the month in question — we can regenerate it for you.
