Every journaler occasionally wonders whether the practice is going anywhere. SandDune's answer is the Activity page: honest numbers about your writing, drawn from the dates you actually wrote.
The Activity page
Open Activity from the dashboard navigation. Two tabs:
Overview shows:
- Current streak — consecutive days with at least one page, counted by date written. The streak counts as alive if you wrote today or yesterday.
- Milestones — your longest-ever streak, your biggest writing day, your longest Timeline, and other personal records.
- This year and all time — total pages, total words, writing days, notebooks, and Timelines.
Monthly is the gallery of your Monthly Artifacts — one shareable summary image per month, generated automatically a couple of days after each month ends.
The heatmap card
The small month grid on your dashboard is the daily pulse: each square is a day, and the green deepens with how much you wrote (it steps up at roughly 200, 350, and 500 words). Today wears a ring. Tapping the card opens the calendar.
Streaks follow the pen, not the phone
Because everything is anchored to Date Written, photographing pages late never breaks your streak. Write every day in your notebook, upload when convenient, set the right date — your record stays true to your actual practice.
One honest note: streaks in SandDune are a mirror, not a whip. There are no guilt notifications and no lost-streak alarms. The record is for you.
