Some pages deserve to be findable in two taps: the letter to your future self, the page where the decision finally got made. Starring marks a note as a favorite.
Star a note
- In the Note Viewer, tap the star in the toolbar (or press
Son desktop). - Tap again to unstar. The star fills in instantly.
See only starred notes
On the dashboard, tap the star toggle (next to the notebook icon). The grid filters to your starred notes, and the count updates — "5 starred notes".
Stars combine with search: with the filter on, typing meeting shows starred notes containing "meeting". Swiping through notes in the viewer also respects the filter — you'll only page through starred notes.
Good to know
- Starring is a flag, not a folder — a note can be starred and in any number of notebooks at the same time. (The dashboard shows either the notebook view or the star filter at a time, though.)
- While an Ask answer is on screen, the star filter pauses so the answer can cite any of your notes. Clear the search bar and your starred view comes right back.
- There's no limit to how many notes you can star.
